As the new school year approaches, excitement is building for both students and teachers eager for a fresh start. Wanting the best environment for her two- to five-year-old students, Principal Batjargal Batzaya of the 184th Kindergarten of Capital City in Baganuur, sought help in improving the school’s appearance.
She reached out to Deseret International Charities (DIC), a humanitarian organization affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The school’s walls, worn with chipping and peeling paint, needed attention to create a more welcoming space for young learners.

With donated supplies and the helping hands of DIC volunteers, the building received a fresh coat of paint inside and out. Volunteer Anna Morton from the United States said, "I am grateful to have the opportunity to help make this school look nicer. Just little things can change their whole life. When I see how much this school needed our help, it makes me appreciate everything I have." The renewed atmosphere gave the school a brighter, more inviting look just in time for students returning on September 1st. Principal Batjargal said, "This will allow the students to spend their time in a comfortable environment so they can be happier".
