Orbis, an international nonprofit organization, has partnered with Deseret International Charities to address the staggering statistic that 90% of all vision loss is preventable or treatable.
Orbis works to build strong, sustainable eye care systems around the world, ensuring that treatment and prevention are within reach for all. Their mission aligns closely with Deseret International Charities’ focus on improving healthcare and quality of life.
Together, the two organizations have provided advanced equipment to local hospitals in Mongolia to help detect glaucoma in its early stages. The new technology captures detailed images of the eye, allowing doctors to identify abnormalities and helping patients see and understand their own condition.
This early detection effort will make a life-changing difference for many Mongolians—preventing unnecessary blindness and preserving the gift of sight.
